The Adroit Guide to #AWP20

If you’re like us, you’ve been thinking about #AWP20 in one form or another since September or October. We’re so excited to see that—with a lush collection of panels, readings, offsites, and signings—AWP will soon bring brilliant writers, readers, and thinkers together again.

This list is a compilation of all the events we’ve starred on our calendars, that we think everyone else should probably star, too. Many of these feature Adroit contributors, staff readers, and mentors whose work and insights we’re excited to hear.

But first, before we dive in: Stop by T1225, The Adroit Journal’s AWP Bookfair table with The Offing, for a collection of never-before-seen broadsides and Tiny Desk Readings that will leave you running to write.

And head to the Havana Hotel’s Ocho Bar (1015 Navarro Street, San Antonio, TX 78205) Thursday night at 8pm (doors open at 7pm!) for an amazing poetry reading organized by The Adroit Journal, The American Poetry Review, Copper Nickel, The Missouri Review, and Pleiades. Readers include Jericho Brown, Victoria Chang, Cortney Lamar Charleston, Tyree Daye, Diane Glancy, Marilyn Nelson, José Olivarez, Brenda Shaughnessy, Maggie Smith, T.C. Tolbert, and many, many more. Click HERE to RSVP.

Editor Picks: #AWP20 Edition

Note: An asterisk (*) denotes a forthcoming The Adroit Journal contributor.

Below we’ve included, in chronological order, the readings, offsites, panels, and signings that make us wish we could clone ourselves for the duration of #AWP20. On with the list!
