Fitting the Mold

Helen Qian is an 18-year-old artist and writer from Maryland. Her work has been published by Glass: A Journal of Poetry, Aerie International, L’Éphémère Review, Poetry Quarterly, and more. She has been recognized by the National Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, One Teen Story, the F. Scott Fitzgerald Literary Conference, and Hollins University, among others. In her spare time, she enjoys dreaming up universes and tracking down words she’s lost on the tip of her tongue. She studies at Vanderbilt University as a recipient of the Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholarship.
