Quyen Nguyen is a student at Brown University and a Vietnamese-American artist from Virginia. Born to immigrant parents and being an immigrant herself, Nguyen attunes to vulnerabilities, injustices, and hopes to explore her hyphenated identity. She believes art is a vessel of humanity as artists occupy the responsibility of connecting, changing, and challenging the world with intellect, empathy, and design. Nguyen is a 2022 and 2023 Scholastic Arts & Writing National Medalist. Her artwork has been displayed at exhibitions hosted by Gallery5, the Visual Arts Center in Richmond, and Virginia Commonwealth University. She has interned at the Virginia Fine Arts Museum.
