Leonora Simonovis

Leonora Simonovis is a poet, writer, and educator living in the unceded lands of the Seneca nation in Western New York. Her work considers the intersections of story, language, womanhood, and spirituality in connection to the land and to her experiences as an exile. Her debut poetry collection, Study of the Raft, won the 2021 Colorado Prize for Poetry, and her work has been featured in Poetry Foundation, the Academy of American Poets Poem-A-Day, About Place Journal, Amsterdam Review, and others.
