Karthik Purushothaman comes from Chennai, India, and most recently taught at William Paterson University and New Jersey City University after his MFA. Poems from Karthik’s first full-length manuscript Legal Alien: A Life in America have earned nominations to Best New Poets and Pushcart Prize anthologies, and have appeared or are forthcoming in Boulevard, Hyperallergic, Rattle, Subtropics, AAWW's The Margins, EVENT, Writers Resist: The Anthology 2018, and elsewhere.
