Celebrating Ten Years at #AWP20 in San Antonio!

The editors of The Adroit Journal are thrilled to announce that our tenth year as a publication brings an unprecedented amount of AWP festivities. 💥

We’re thrilled to announce that—for the first time ever—we will be co-hosting a book fair tableoffering exclusive merchandise, and co-hosting a must-see offsite reading on Thursday evening! Let’s dive in, beginning with the book fair table.

We’re over-the-moon to be partnering with the fine folks of The Offing to bring you a table unlike any we can recall in recent #AWP20 memory. Most notably, we’ll be bringing you some amazing Tiny Desk Readings, featuring such iconic contributors as José Olivarez, Gabrielle Bates, K-Ming Chang, and Jennifer Givhan.

Our Merchandise: Classic Adroit Broadsides

We’re so excited to be celebrating iconic Adroit poems from our ten-year history, in the form of broadsides created exclusively with Expedition Press. Broadsides will be signed by contributors who will be attending the conference, and will be on sale until they sell out! We’ll be including the following Adroit poems in our run:

Our Offsite: MOB THE OCHO

Join us for an invigorating, inspiring evening of food, drink, and great writing, featuring contributors of The Adroit JournalThe American Poetry ReviewCopper NickelThe Missouri Review, and Pleiades. This event is FREE, and will provide the perfect conclusion for the first day of #AWP20 in San Antonio!

Location

This event will be hosted in the Ocho Bar at the Havana Hotel (1015 Navarro St, San Antonio, TX 78205). The venue is a short walk from the AWP convention center.

Please note: Seating may be limited. RSVPs will be admitted on a first come, first serve basis. Doors will open at 7pm.
