Michelle Liu is a 17-year old artist from Saratoga, CA. She has studied art for the past decade, and she thanks the editors and staff of The Adroit Journal for this opportunity. Her work reflects on the loss of cultural identity, with an emphasis on the use of color to convey emotion and other worldliness. She has been recognized for her work by the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards both regionally and nationally. Michelle enjoys literature by authors such as Haruki Murakami and Alan Watts, and she is a fan of 100% dark unsweetened chocolate.
