Belle Carlson is a Californian artist with a passion for exploring the cryptic landscape of human experience through her camera lens. In the past, her work has been nationally recognized through international publications and a 2015 YoungArts Award. This photograph is part of an ongoing series entitled “Youth,” is inspired by her relationship with her younger brother, and reflects her feelings of wanting to simultaneously shelter his innocence and show him the world.
