Rachel Deyis is an international, first-year undergraduate student studying English and Related Literature at the University of York. When she isn’t binging on the kinds of brain-cell murdering romance novels that her professors would certainly not approve of, she enjoys painting decaying figs, writing poetry and reading everything she can get her hands on. In her artwork she straddles the line between the real and the fantastic, exploring themes of identity, decay, and the limits of the human body, often seeking inspiration from her favorite literary works.
