Flávio de Araújo is a poet from Paraty, Brazil, who comes from a family of Caiçara fishermen. He has published two books: “Zangareio” and “Almanaque Cabeça de Maré”. For many years, he has participated in, and helped to organize, Off Flip (an offshoot of the Paraty International Literary Festival). He has also been featured at literary festivals in Cuba, Mexico, and across Brazil. A celebrated educator and activist, Araújo is dedicated to promoting the Caiçara language, history, and culture.

Rachel Morgenstern-Clarren is a poet and translator based in Montreal. Her work has been honored with a Fulbright Fellowship to Brazil, a Hopwood Award, and an Academy of American Poets prize, most recently appearing in The Common, CALYX, and Off Assignment.
