Ann Marie Vanderveen is currently a senior studying journalism at the University of Colorado Boulder. She is a managing editor for the campus newspaper the CU Independent and has published multiple investigative, feature, and arts pieces. She previously interned for the Boulder Daily Camera and is spending this summer in Phoenix covering immigration for the Carnegie-Knight News21 program at Arizona State University.
