Anjanette Delgado
Anjanette Delgado writes about sexile, gender violence and displacement. She won an Emmy for her feature on the plight of exiled mothers working as nannies in the United States, has authored two novels, and edited the anthology Home in Florida: Latinx Writers and the Literature of Uprootedness (University of Florida Press, 2021), Gold Medal for ensemble fiction at the Latino International Book Awards. Her work has appeared in the NY Times (Modern Love; Opinion), NPR, Kenyon Review, Prairie Schooner, The Rumpus, Tupelo Quarterly, and the Boston Review, among others. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from FIU, and lives in Miami, Florida. Her latest book is El sexilio (LaCriba Editores, 2024), a hybrid book of non-fiction and protest poetry. Las bichotas, her first short story collection, is due from Penguin Random House's Vintage Español imprint in 2026.
