Vincent Luo is a grade 12 student at St. George’s in Vancouver, Canada. He loves creating art as a means to address current global issues, whether it’s the extreme weather conditions caused by climate change, the physical and psychological impacts of the pandemic, or rising social inequalities sparked by political polarization. He has made self portraits to engage personally with these issues. His artworks encompass various media, including, drawing, acrylic, and oil painting. Vincent founded an activism club at his school, and is one of the leaders of the art club. His artworks have been recognized by the Scholastic Awards and the Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Contest. He looks forward to pursuing visual art in his undergraduate studies and beyond.
