Sophia Jho is a 17 year old high school student from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her artwork has won various awards, including national gold medals for the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards in drawing and painting, the Congressional Art Competition, and Celebrating Art awards. Sophia’s artwork has been displayed at galleries and other public venues, including at the U.S. Capitol. Sophia has served as volunteer advisor to the Carnegie Museum of Art’s Youth Art Initiative museum advisory group. When not painting or drawing, Sophia plays the classical harp and takes care of her mostly sweet but occasionally mischievous hypoallergenic Siberian cat, Mochi.
