Xinyi Christine Zhang

Xinyi Christine Zhang is an 18-year-old artist from New Jersey and a first-year at Harvard College. In her pieces, like “The Thing About Birthdays,” she uses an interplay of bright colors and coarse textures to juxtapose the somber themes at hand. Her artistic work has been recognized on the national level by organizations such as the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, the Academic Medicine Journal, and the Washington Post.
