Carrie Hsu is a writer from Long Island, New York. She is the editor-in-chief of OPUS, Herricks High School’s acclaimed literary journal, and a prose reader for The Adroit Journal. Her work has appeared in or is forthcoming from The Apprentice Writer, Bridge: The Bluffton University Literary Journal, and Rambutan Literary. Carrie has received recognition from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, National Council of Teachers of English, Ringling College, Regulus Press, and the Goi Peace Foundation. Currently enrolled in the 2019 Iowa Young Writers’ Studio, she often seeks to explore the human condition through brief windows of commentary into the lives and relationships of fictional characters, as well as occasional forays into creative nonfiction.
