M.K. Foster’s poetry won the 2013 Gulf Coast Poetry Prize, has been recognized with an Academy of American Poets Prize, and has appeared or is forthcoming in Gulf Coast, H.O.W. Journal, The Account, B O D Y, Sixth Finch, Word Riot, Ninth Letter, and elsewhere. She holds an M.F.A. from the University of Maryland, College Park and currently pursues a Ph.D. in Early Modern Literature through the Hudson Strode Renaissance Program at the University of Alabama.
